About us

My photo
The Portas
Elijah was diagnosed in-utero with a series of heart defects. Now, at nine years old, he has soared through three open heart surgeries and many other surgeries and hospitalizations. We have been on the ride of a lifetime with this special little boy. Our journey has taught us things about life, love and God that we never imagined we would comprehend. We feel so fortunate that God chose us to care for Elijah and his little brother Sammy, and we feel very privileged and happy to walk this road together.
