Pictures of the cutie pie (and an odometer)

Dan was proud of his car's achievement today. Little Red is a good car. She keeps on chugging along.

We're working on feeding ourselves..

Or turning the bowl upside down

Yes, so big, we know!!

Ok, does anyone have any food suggestions for a 15-month-old? Elijah isn't totally interested in adult food yet but he's fed up with baby food. It seems like all the kid eats is cottage cheese, cheese, yogurt, milk (uhh, yeah, I think we've got dairy covered), cheerios, some stage 3 baby food, and sometimes toast or cream cheese/turkey sandwiches. We need ideas! We tried feeding him salmon and asparagus tonight and he spit it all out and gave us the yucky face. Elijah has to grow up to be a good eater like his mommy! I've never been picky about anything, so I don't know what to think of this.

I found that I can get Jakey to eat almost anything....if it comes with something to dip it in! He gets so excited and says "dip, dip". I put a little ketchup on the side for chicken, ranch with veggies and even toast! Funny...I used to have a kid that would eat everything in sight...now I have to trick him!!! Maybe Elijah would think it is fun to dip, too!!!

Love ya,

Cindy

Oh my gosh...I could just eat him up!
Sorry...no food tricks to share...I"ve got TWO of the pickiest eaters in the world, and another who only eats plastic and leather....go figure!
Thanks for the Elijah fix!!!
Love you guys,
Kathy

Coming from someone who has dealt with a picky eater my suggestion is to be persistent. One day he may hate it and the next he will love it. Arianna struggled for a long time with food. She was in the same stage as Eli right now. It was rough and I hated that I couldn't get her to eat anything. Try the soft finger foods...edamame for example(Arianna LOVES them!)

WAY TO GO LITTLE RED!!! We knew you could do it; congrats Dan on the 300,000 mile marker! How great that you captured it on the camera so you can look back and remember all the good 'ol times when little red was a rowdy teenager =) Quite a milestone!

I'll ask my sister what her daughter is eating these days...maybe she has some insights?? Will let you know if I find out anything.

Love,
The RA

He is such a Ham!! I just love the messy face. We're finally getting to see that with Vaeh a little & I don't care how messy she gets!

With all of her feeding issues, we struggle too with the food thing. Have you tried any pasta? Its a little formed but yet soft too. I would think he'd do okay if he can manage toast! And if he's a cheese lover, mac n cheese should be a hit! Maybe also try mashed potatoes that are "lumpy" to give him a little more texture! I think give him something & if he eats it great! If not, try something else. Just my two cents!

BTW, would you email me your home address? I'm updating my address book & want to add all my heart friends to it! My email is gabnvaeh@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Ditto your imbalance. I haven't been able to put into words and you did. Thank you for sharing that deep thought. Food? Harrison loves spice. He loves, loves, loves, guacamole. Yes, he could eat it 24/7/365 if we would let him. He has always been small, so we have been able to give it to him as much as possible. Of course he loves the cheeses; yogurt, pudding, cottage cheese, etc. He is picky too. We try enchiladas. He typically will only eat a few bites of anything. He is a snacker. Try guac, nachos, enchiladas, add spice to baby food (stage 3). That is all I have. I bet Elijah would eat the guac. It may be a texture thing. I think eating the yogurt textures for Harrison is lack of energy. It takes less muscle to eat the creamy textures than say, a chicken nugget. Good luck!

I have not read through everyone else's responses...but have you tried avocado? That is one food that our little guy actually loves! Can you believe that?!?! Also, really tender brisket...hamburgers cut up into little pieces? These are all things that Micah was eating before he went on his hunger strike a year ago (he was not even one yet...and had only two teeth, so they are easy to eat for anyone).

Sorry I missed this post last night...I got caught up in your imbalanced post!

Love ya!

One of the easiest things that my little guy likes is frozen peas. I don't even cook them, we put the frozen peas in warm(hot) water for a few minutes and he's happy. Zachary just turned 2 and this has been one of his favorites for many months. Good luck!
