Better than I could have ever expected

Those were Dr. Gremmels exact words when describing how Elijah did! They are closing up his chest right now and everything is functioning perfectly perfect at the moment. We will get to talk to Dr. Moga in about 45 minutes and shortly after that we'll get to see our boy in the PICU!!

I'm so proud of him! He's such an amazingly strong boy.

Please keep the prayers coming for a successful recovery. We feel your prayers and love so strongly right now, as Dan and I have had a very peaceful day. Thank you so much.

    Dan and Megan,

I am so glad that you have felt the peace of God today and were able to entrust Elijah into His care. I am thankful that God used the skills of the surgeons to help repair his little heart. My prayer is that everyone who touches Elijah from the transport people, to every nurse, respiratory therapist, doctor/surgeon will be guided by God. Keep hanging on to Him. Elijah will continue to be covered by the prayers of those who love him so very much.
    I love you all!!!!

  16. Great news! We will pray for a quiet day/night as the WONDERFUL nurses at Childrens Minneapolis PICU look after your precious little courageous cutie patootie, Elijah. Way to go mom and dad. You got him to surgery, and God did the rest through the great doctors. God is good! Can you tell I am excited for ya'll. Elijah is in my thoughts. Eli, you did it. Now give your parents a break. Eli, tell the nurses Harrison says hello.
