Lovin' on the baby

I'm having a hard time putting the baby down. As surgery draws near, the greater my need is to snuggle with our little man. I know know know everything is going to be GREAT, but it is still quite difficult for a mommy to envision handing her baby over to two surgeons.

Below are some cute pics from this evening. We were having fun combing Elijah's fluffy hair. He's been in such a good mood this week (quite the change from last week), so these past few evenings have been fun.

Pre-op is tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be home by mid-afternoon to spend a full last evening at home together before the Big Day. Ok, gotta go love on my precious boy.

Do I have the two most gorgeous boys in the world, or what?!

Don't you just want to nibble on that double chin?

Getting hugs from Leo the Lion

p.s. If you haven't already, please check out Sam & Eli's link to the right. Little Elijah Yoder needs some good praying right now.

It's 1:30pm here LV time...

thought I'd drop by for an update on how pre op went for ya!
I know it's a long day, that's for sure ... I think our pre ops up at Standford were about 7 hours of all kinds of tests!

We were lucky for his second surgery b/c we were able to have them place two IV's in Matthew while he was asleep for his catscan...
took him home w/ the IV's all wrapped up so that the day of surgery he was already hooked up and he didn't have to suffer w/ the sticking.. I know you know this already...
but our little cardic kiddos ARE SUCH HARD STICKS! Their little vascular system is so tiny...

Hard stick is right. We couldn't even get all the blood out of him today that we needed. :( All in all, the pre-op went pretty smoothly. We were only there for 3 hours! Dan will write an update tonight with more details... more soon! Gotta go do some laundry and get packed up for our hospital "vacation." :)
