This morning I changed the smelliest poopy diaper in the history of my life. I showered and got ready for work afterwards and now I'm sitting in a building 10 miles away from where that poopy diaper is and I STILL SMELL IT! I think the scent adhered itself to the inside of my nose.
Now that I've grossed everyone out...
Elijah is still a sick boy. I woke up sick this morning, too. Oh goody! And Dan has a sore throat like I did yesterday, so he may be on his way to sickness as well. Last night Elijah's temp was at 99.5 again but that's the highest it has gotten. He has a lot of snot and boogers and he sneezes like 173 times an hour. Oh and yesterday he threw up again after I fed him lunch. Poor baby, I hate seeing him feeling so yucky.
I'm so worried that surgery will have to be postponed. His little body cannot be compromised AT ALL going into the biggest surgery of his life. We will just trust that if it does have to be postponed, then that is what is meant to happen. The anticipation of all of this is making me crazy (and you should see all the grey hair I have now!) so I'm praying for quick healing for our chubster and for a surgery date of April 15th! If you wouldn't mind, maybe you could say a prayer along those lines, too? Thank you!
p.s. Elijah is going to love me some day when he reads about all of his bodily functions that I describe to the world in full detail! Sorry Elijah!
p.p.s. I wish I could share with everyone the three cute messages I got yesterday from mamas who were checking in on my mental well-being. First was Samantha, who has a cute little Texas drawl. Then there was Kathy, who has even more of a southern accent. Then there was Deb who has the world's cutest British accent. It was a day of cute accents! I want one!

I wouldn't be much fun for you to listen to since I'm a yankee like you!! So sorry to hear you're all not feeling well! Ugh! Sending you big "get well" prayers!!!

Oh, the poop story is great...I only had that happen once when Jacob was on Omnicef, but I remember it like it was yesterday!! (and not because I WANT to, but because it is still in my brain!!! YUK!)
You have an adorable voice...I told you that yesterday! It did sound sad though :(
We have had numerous of *those* poopy diapers, and I wish I could tell you that the smell goes away from your memory, but no such luck! You will think that smell is gone and then bang...3 years down the road smell something similar and it all comes right back at you...hopefully, you are not pregnant with morning sickness when it happens...that is NOT fun!
Anyway, things are going to happen as they need to for your little guy and your family. I know you are terrified, but just keep reading your passages...you know that things will be fine. Send your sickness down to Noah or Leah...they are big and strong and can handle it...let's have our boys stay well.
Lots of love...call me if you need anything at all!
Love ya!
Samantha
If it will make you feel better....Isaac's poop grosses me out every time I change his diaper! I've told the GI doc I think something's wrong in there...how can it smell SO foul??? (but, then again...he probably got his stink bombs from Joe!!!)
Hope Mr. Eli starts feeling better...and Dan too..and you..gosh...you guys!
Hugs and love your way.
Kathy
I hope that you are feeling better. Girl, I could share the bodily function stories with you all day long!!! All you can do is laugh!! Big prayers coming your way!
