Tax day it shall be

We have a surgery date set! April 15th! Having this date is terrifying, yet somehow it's relieving. That gives us 3.5 weeks to emotionally prepare. I will be spending every possible waking, non-working second with my chubster. In fact, I think I'll run home to squeeze him right now.

I must admit, we're a bit bummed because of this situation, but really, what does that matter? Nothing! Elijah is all that matters and April 15th is his day to be a star, and that's that!

Here we go with the countdown. Yikes!

p.s. He's doing much better today! His gunk magically got TONS better overnight and he woke up his happy, cheery self. He's home with Daddy today, getting lots of rest and food. What a strong boy. I'm so proud of him.

The 15th it is! I am glad that you have the date to prepare for and I am glad that you have 3.5 weeks to spoil him rotten.

I have to go look at your linky, but I am thinking this is going to interfere with the Hawaii trip...oh well...the beach will always be there, and it will be much more fun to go with Eli or with a very healthy recovered boy staying home and just you and Dan.

You guys are in my prayers!

Love ya!
Samantha

Hey Porta Clan!
It is great that you finally have a date set - what a relief. We know Elijah will be a rock star - he is such a strong, amazing little guy. We're going to miss you guys in Maui...

Enjoy your weeks with the little guy...but I'm guessing he'll be back at it in no time flat.

So glad to hear he magically got better...no fun to be sick over Easter weekend!

I'm bummin' for you and missing your trip...but you're right...Eli is so much better than any trip! Still...that stinks and you have every right to be bummed.

I'm so glad you have a date. I know that stinks that you won't be going to Maui but there is always next time. I wish I could go love on him right now too! I'm so glad to hear the junk is clearing up. Gotta run..I Arianna's alarm is going off again - time for some good O2!

It's hard not having a date and then it's hard having a date, huh? Elijah - we're proud of you too and I know your going to show everyone how much of a Braveheart you are that day! Hugs to all of you.

A date is good - scary, but it will be good to be able to get the surgery over with and start on recovery. We of course are praying that all will go well.

I'm glad that the cath went well and that he is sounding so much better today - yay!

Yup. I'd be the same. I'd relax a little with a date set. Spoil that cute little munchkin rotten, girlie. And hang in there you guys. We'll be here cheering him on every step of the way!!
